An unmanaged asset (shadow IT) has unresolved threats detected by SentinelOne. This creates multiplicative risk: threats require human-driven incident response for remediation, but unmanaged assets have no assigned owner or responsible team. Without an owner, threats persist indefinitely — no one triages the alerts, no one initiates containment, and no one validates remediation.
